Introduction

The Hedgerow Removal Notice form should be used by anyone proposing to remove a hedgerow, or part of a hedgerow, covered by the Hedgerows Regulations 1997.

The list below details supporting documents that may need to be submitted as part of your application. Please refer to each section below in order to determine whether or not you need to submit it as part of your application.

You must provide a plan which:

  • clearly shows the location and length of the hedgerow(s) to be removed.

If possible please provide a plan to a scale of 1:2500. A different scale can be used so long as it shows clearly the location and length of the hedgerow(s) that you wish to remove.

The following evidence is required for this application type:

  • Evidence of the date of planting if hedgerow is less than 30 years old.
