Play tennis in a Peterborough park

We have six tennis hard courts available at Central and Itter Park -  four at Central Park and two at Itter Park.

The tennis courts are available for use by the public, clubs and leagues.

In the future, we will work with the Lawn Tennis Association to ensure Barclays Free Park Tennis sessions are available on the courts, providing regular opportunities for anyone to play.

How to book a tennis court

The tennis courts are run by inspire2coach (i2c) on our behalf.

You must book a tennis court in advance either online, via an app or by scanning the QR code on the gate. You will need to register for an account on first use.

It costs £7 per court per hour to hire or you can purchase an annual pass for £47 (see links below for more details).

The fees will ensure that the tennis courts are maintained at their new high standard for years to come.

Please note our park attendants are not able to take bookings or payment.

Smart gates

As part of the refurbishment, we have installed smart gates at both venues. This makes it easy to book and reserve courts online.

Once you have booked a tennis court, you'll receive a PIN code to input into the keypad on the gate. This will give you access to the tennis court for your allocated time.

Bring your own equipment

You will need to bring your own tennis equipment. We do not provide or hire out equipment.

Change to entrance of Central Park tennis courts

There is a new entrance into the Central Park tennis courts which is located off the pathway that runs from the middle of the Park to Park Crescent.
