Film Peterborough - schedule of charges

Where filming takes place on council property or areas managed by Peterborough City Council, the following charges will apply.

Peterborough streets filming charge

• Student/Charity/News - No fee
• Small (up to 10 people) - £70 + VAT
• Medium (11 to 40 people) - £150 + VAT
• Large (40+ people) - £550 + VAT

Peterborough filming on location charge

Filming includes Peterborough parks, green spaces, etc.

• Student/Charity/News - No fee*
• Small/factual crews - £150 per day
• Adverts/photoshoots - From £300 + VAT per day
• Large crews and drama - By negotiation

*Drones will incur an additional charge.

Drones charge

Use of drones: £225 - £420 (no VAT) per day (location and number of location dependent).

Taking off and landing a drone/Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) from Peterborough City Council land will require special permission from the Peterborough Film Office.

Filming on location – interiors

Peterborough Film Office can facilitate filming at a range of Peterborough City Council managed buildings.

Fees for use of these spaces are by negotiation only depending on production requirements and are subject to staffing and other additional costs.

Other charges

For High-end TV (HETV) series and feature films there will be an admin charge of £100 per production.

Exceptions

The following types of production are exempt and will not be charged for use of exterior Peterborough City Council managed locations: News, current affairs, registered charities and students*.

Peterborough-based independent filmmakers and national and international travel vlogs please note, except for news crew, permission to film may still be required and staffing/special request charges may apply depending on the location being used and production requirements.
