Peterborough Cathedral

Peterborough Cathedral is one of the finest Norman cathedrals in Europe. Founded as a monastic community in 654 AD, it became one of the most significant medieval abbeys in the country, the burial place of two queens and the scene of Civil War upheavals. City centre location and parking, Early English Gothic West Front (façade), with three enormous arches.
Central Park








Victorian park in Peterborough city centre with sunken garden, sensory garden and two play areas. Sandpit and soft surfacing around the paddling pool. Other facilities at the park include an aviary, bowling greens, hard and grass tennis courts, volleyball, a croquet lawn, table tennis and café.
Art Deco Lido



City centre Art Deco outdoor swimming complex with three heated outdoor pools. A 50m main pool, a teaching pool for children and a paddling pool for toddlers. Sunbathing terraces, a large grass lawn and play area. Unused for much of the year, but still usable. Café. Potential use for green screen. Walking distance from parks and cathedral.
Cathedral Square and Guildhall



Pedestrianised city centre location with assorted retail and restaurants. Grade II listed Guildhall dating back to 1600s, with unused upper meeting room. Multiple parking and exit routes. Cathedral to rear.
Embankment

Seventy-acre green space near to city centre and River Nene. Next to university, theatre and athletics track, and small tree areas. Walking distance from Cathedral. Unused for much of year. Numerous parking options. Site of Beer Festival, Great Eastern Run launch and other events as well as providing limited spaces for overnight mooring on the river.
St John's Church
Dating back to June 1407 and dedicated to St John the Baptist. It was built of materials from the old church and the nave of the Chapel of St Thomas Becket, near the west gate to the abbey, together with timber brought from Milton Park. City centre and close to Cathedral and Cathedral Square. Organ built in 1917.
Itter Park





Facilities at the park include a refurbished play area, hard and grass tennis courts, a bowling green and a putting green. There are two football pitches which are used in the winter season.
