Pay your Business Rates

Business Rates (also known as ‘non-domestic rates’) are charged on most commercial properties such as shops, offices, pubs, warehouses, factories, holiday rental homes or guest houses.

There are several ways to pay your Business Rates. Failure to pay your Business Rates on time could mean you lose your right to pay by instalments.

Business Rates are due on the first day of each month, by 10 monthly instalments from April to January each financial year. We can however offer additional instalment dates to our Direct Debit payers.

Pay Business Rates by Direct Debit

Setting up payment by Direct Debit is quick and easy. It allows you to choose which date of every month you would like to pay – 1st, 8th, 15th and 25th.

Once your Direct Debit is set up, your bank will pay the instalments for you each month. You only need to set it up once and it will run every year. You do not need to cancel it.
